As a nonprofit professional, your work aims to inspire volunteers, donors, members and other stakeholders to choose to support your organization. If this is your role, we invite you to PRSA IE Gives Back, a morning panel with local experts who will cover storytelling skills, building a brand that sets you apart and using digital platforms to achieve your nonprofit campaign goals.
Please join us as we once again offer this FREE two-hour workshop for nonprofit professionals (fee for others). We'll provide breakfast and information that will help your organization reach its intended audience.

Meet the Panelists
Kristen Caloca
Cause Communications, Vice President
Kristen is a strategic leader and executive with 20 years of public interest communications, public relations, public affairs, crisis communications, media relations and stakeholder engagement experience. She has collaborated with mission-minded national to local organizations on using communications as a force to advance positive social change with a focus on health equity, mental health, and child & family wellbeing. She co-leads Cause Communications, a nonprofit that provides consulting and capacity building services to nonprofits, foundations, and government agencies. Cause published one of the first comprehensive communications toolkits for nonprofits working on social change.
Danny Sciortino

Danny Sciortino is a seasoned expert in brand creation and development, with an impressive career spanning 25 years. His ability to craft and elevate brands across diverse industries is demonstrated through recognizable identities for products, services and organizations. Known as a dedicated guardian of his clients’ brand integrity, Danny ensures that their image is upheld and protected at all times. Among his many clients, Danny works closely with several nonprofits in the Inland Empire, helping them to strengthen their brand and further their mission.
Danny laid the foundation for his illustrious career working for some of the top Inland Empire advertising agencies. In 2010, fueled by his entrepreneurial spirit, he took a leap of faith and established his own successful design studio, Sciortino Design.
When not helping his clients, Danny enjoys spending time with his family at local theme parks in Southern California. His passion for these attractions inspired him to launch his flourishing YouTube Channel, “Theme Park Casual,” where he shares his adventures and insights with a growing fan base.
Melissa Daniels
Digital Media Consultant
Melissa Daniels is an experienced business reporter and digital media consultant. In addition to working for major news outlets in California, New York, Pennsylvania and Arizona, she has served as a communications manager and content manager for multiple nonprofits, including Lift to Rise and Report for America. She has a degree in newspaper journalism from Syracuse University and a master’s in digital audience strategies from Arizona State University. She lives in Yucca Valley, California.
Deanna Hendrick
IEHP Foundation, Marketing and Communications Manager
Throughout her career, Deanna Hendrick, MCM has developed and implemented comprehensive communication plans that help increase brand awareness and grow an active and expansive digital presence. She currently serves as the marketing and communications manager at IEHP Foundation, where she utilizes communication fundamentals while also adopting current digital marketing trends to create meaningful and inspiring stories about the impact of the Foundation's work throughout the Inland Empire.
Deanna holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from California State University, Long Beach and a master's degree in communication management from USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism.
As an active community member, she serves on the board of Looms for Lupus, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and education about lupus and fibromyalgia. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, playing not-your-average board games and getting lost in a good book.
