Meet the President: PRSSA Cal State San Bernardino

PRSSA at CSUSB was chartered in 2004 and continues with a strong membership. We spoke with chapter president Lindsey Boucher ’23, who is majoring in communication studies with an emphasis in organizational and relational communication.
What is your desired career?
"I would love to be a special education teacher or work for a public relations firm as a social media manager."
How is PRSSA membership influencing your personal and professional development?
"PRSSA is opening the door to many opportunities. It is giving me great experience for my resume and helping me master skills I did not already have."
What PRSA or PRSSA activities are you looking forward to this academic year?
"I was so honored that I got to attend the Polaris Awards as a guest. Our chapter was able to attend in 2018, and won an award, so I was very excited to attend. Our chapter is going to be doing a team building retreat on the CSUSB campus, and I am really looking forward to that!"
In what ways can PR/Com practitioners be most supportive of students?
"PR/com practitioners are most supportive by their great communication skills. They are able to interact with students who may not feel comfortable interacting on their own. They also have a wide variety of knowledge and skills that can be shared and taught to support students."
